Livet er aldrig nok / Life is never enough

My little sister, Sofie, has been diagnosed with the psychotic disorder schizotypy and was admitted to the Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans in the summer of 2024. Because of this, I realized what my bachelor’s project should be about.

I wanted to create a design project that could challenge the way we perceive psychotic disorders — something that could present a more nuanced and sensitive narrative about what it means to live with one.

This became the book Livet er aldrig nok / Life Is Never Enough — a collection of poems, song lyrics, diary excerpts, paintings, and more, all created by people living with psychotic disorders.

The aim is to offer a deeper and more personal insight into their inner lives and thoughts, while also giving them a voice.

The book features contributions from Alexander Saul, Mark Peter Gaarslev Thygesen, Mikkel Wassard Yde, Miklós Vágó Brøndsted, Rebecca Rosenørn Rugbjeg, and Sofie Anemone Sahlholdt.

I am deeply grateful to all the contributors who dared to be vulnerable and share their experiences of something that is often difficult and heavily stigmatized.
